It started like any other search. I typed, “Best RV dealership near me,” and got buried under a mountain of generic reviews, stock footage, and industry buzzwords. Everything sounded like it was written by someone who’d never even been inside an RV, or some Ai bot.
I just wanted to look at an RV, and then if I liked it I would ask questions. That’s it. So I wandered into San Antonio RVs.
That’s when I met Gary—one of the sales guys. At least, that’s what his name tag said. But he insisted I call him “Ricky.” He said our acting coach, “Buck’ said to stay in character on filming days.
He nodded with the kind of dead-serious look that only made it weirder.
“It’s my character name,” he said. “For the Reviews series. Have you not heard of it?”
Apparently, San Antonio RVs has a YouTube comedy series where the staff plays enhanced versions of themselves. It’s called Reviews, and it’s honestly… kind of brilliant and makes the buying experience a lot more fun.
Before I knew it, I was meeting the rest of the crew:
- Don, the General Manager, who takes customer service very seriously (especially when there’s a trophy involved).
- Zac, a former bodybuilder turned RV sales pro, who delivers exactly three words at a time—usually with a smirk.
- Garrett, Tarun, and Gary round out the sales team with more personality than most sitcom casts.

Did I find the perfect RV?
Yeah, I actually did. See the video below. I didn’t get this exact one, but it looks just like it. They have literally any floor plan you want, and they just got a a whole bunch of new RV’s and 5th wheelers.
But I also found something better: a dealership that doesn’t pretend. One that knows how to laugh, knows how to help, and doesn’t treat you like a transaction.
